Indian always and only hang out with other indian people. The only reason i hooked with her is because she was going through a phase where she wasn't fukking them anymore (I realized this in retrospect, at the time i thought she was just worldly) So needless to say everytime she brought along with to hangout with people it was usually just me and a bunch of Indians. They would spend the whole time talking in hindi, occasion turning to get my opinion on something in english then going back to Hindi. The woman were mostly on that :mjpls:. The was a few guys that was trying to copy swag from black folks and were curious about me. Some outright admitted that they were scared of black people because the news they saw back in Indian about us over here is always about crime and shyt. Wasn't any outright hostility though, they mostly obsessed with their own culture.

Very interesting observation and at least you are doing well after all that.

Sorry bout your marriage it's never funny sharing about a divorce.

thanks for at least sharing your story so I am going to rep on that.

Why’d y’all split?

How’d her family react to you being black?
They rejected it at first and she was low key disowned. Her mother came to the wedding though and seemed to be fine with. Her Father warmed up to me later we even had drinks together on occasion.

Later she seemed to grow out of her infatuation with black people phase(didn't at the time it was phase)
Went from liking beyonce and wanting our daughter to be black to Only listening to bollywood music and wanting to raise our daughter in indian.
Eventually we became foreign to each other and grew apart.

what was the food like?
did any body from her family threaten y'all with honor killings?
:banderas: the food was piff. She cooked for me everyday and my tolerance for spice jumped up 5 notches. To this day i still eat curry. Which ironically gave me a greater appreciation of African/Caribbean food as well.
