Why would you take minutes away from Knox who is either your 2nd or 3rd most important player for Marcus Morris on a one year deal?
Knox will probably still see about 25 minutes a game, and I think Knox will get a fair chance to earn a starting spot if he indeed comes off of the bench, so I'm not worried about it too much. Regardless of whether Knox starts or comes off of the bench though, I'm happy the Knicks got Morris. I mean you want a guy like Knox to take his lumps but you don't wanna be forced to keep him in situations where he's straight up getting ran off the court because they're no other options, and that happened way too much last year, to the point where I think it was detrimental towards his development, and Morris is gonna help to alleviate that problem by a lot. Also, next season is just as much about trying to step out of a losing culture as it is about player development, so they had to insert another vet into the lineup, a honestly a starting line-up with too many young guys feels counter-productive to both imo.
