I hear you, just pondering if there was any creative accounting to do to keep him. I'm not that familiar with NBA finances like that. If it's the way you say, then of course. The optics could be interpreted that way if you think about it. You rarely hear athletes with opinions, especially black ones like he was expressing, I'm sure people didn't like that shyt.

He passed up a ton of fastbreaks with the Clipps as well. Blake and company were ready to sprint down the court and Paul was always like nahLets slow it down and run a excruiating half court set where he'll dribble the ball for at least 20 seconds of the shot clock. Plus he refused to shoot/score unless we were down 20 or so.
Clippers offense was 4th,4th,1st,1st,8th and 4th in the nba with cp3 doing allll this dribbling and slowing down fast breaks and they were significantly better as a team with him on the floor.76-44 record without blake griffin

Iggy was told that if KD leaves there's a chance he'd be traded and that probably led to him speaking so freely on TBC. I don't knock him for speaking his truth.
It's not like he was traded for no reason, D-Russ is needed.

Anyone who knows a lick of basketball and doesn't realize that a team's offense is better with Chris Paul on it just has style issues getting in the way of objectivity. He's a basketball savant and there have been very, very few in the league anything like him. I understand why he has haters but his knowledge of offense and ability to execute is among the top 3-4 of all time.
Just genetics holding him back. Damn tough to dictate your will on a playoff court when you're only six feet tall.
