I didn't name 15 guys playing 20 minutes. Damn near all those guards except Rondo are guys you don't really want playing more than 10 minutes if at all. And Rondo is coasting until the playoffs so you can't lean into him. Iggy is old as hell so you can't lean into him.
I didn't say you did but this over emphasis about being deep seems exaggerated especially when we all all know playoffs rotations get Shortened
KCP averaged 11 a game with a 57% TS yet you don't want him playing more than 10 minutes a game? Lol KCP put up better numbers than Gary Harris last year and is a bigger defender but are you talking about how the Nuggets are in trouble because they lack guard depth?? Are you talking about how the Nuggets relying on 34 year old Paul Millsap to start at the 4 puts them behind the 8 ball or how the rockets relying on a CLEARLY declining 34 year old CP and 34 year old PJ Tucker are in for problems?.... Everybody has old players....so what??... That in itself isn't the problem...can they play is the question... Iggy looked very capable to me in the playoffs...if he didn't to you perhaps we were watching different leagues
But the big issue as
@Eric Brooks just said is you're trying to load manage LeBron and AD so that they even reach the playoffs.
This is your problem...you're starting off with fake news... Where is this "load management" shyt even coming from?... Lebron has never been on a load management plan and AD just came off back to back seasons where he played 75 games before last year where his own team sabotaged his GP... So yeah sure if you cook in this made up narrative about "load management" you can create this doom and gloom scenario... But why aren't you talking about load management for the supposed other contending teams players like Chris Paul?
Look at your lineup, the moment AD goes out they are sucking ass at center. The moment LeBron goes out they're relying on a 36yo at SF.
You can say this same shyt about damn near any team and their star players... If curry goes down who are the Warriors relying on? If Harden goes down who are the Rockets relying on? If Mitchell goes down who are the Jazz relying on and so on and so forth...if all you're coming with is banking on an injury I would say that's a weak argument imo
Rondo may or may not have a real year left in him and Cook didn't look very good in the playoffs. The bench barely has any scoring except for Kuz and not much defense either, you're shedding points at any moment that LeBron and AD are on the bench at the same time.
Why would AD and LeBron spend extended minutes on the bench together? You'd obviously stagger their minutes my guy...this is like common sense basketball logic correct?
Marcus Morris put up 14 a game last playoffs on 52% shooting and 45% from 3 how much more offense do you need from a 4th option?
Cook is a career 40% 3pt shooter so is Daniels they don't need to create offense that's what the stars are their for... Also imo you're putting too much emphasis on Rondo...with heavy usage guys like AD and ball handlers like LeBron and even Kuzma to a lesser degree his role will simply be to set those guys up and make smart reads... I don't doubt his ability to continue to do that...I just watched him do that last season... If you want to predict him forgetting how to do those things magically... Hey I could see your point...I just disagree with that prediction personally
That lineup looks formidable for any 1 game. Over the course of a season they look like this year's Lakers, a bunch of guys rotating in and out of IR with far too many thin spots at too many positions.
Last year's team didn't have two all star caliber players on it... If you look at a team with Lebron James and Anthony Davis on it and somehow see Lonzo Ball / Brandon Ingram /Josh Hart... Hey I can't help you with that one... We'll just have to agree to disagree
