The stats weren't there in the final series, but yes Sid is still very much that dude. If you watched, you would have seen him all over the ice, making unbelievable plays on both ends. In my opinion he was the best player on the ice throughout the entire finals series, but the Sharks goalie was unreal which limited the point totals. And his regular season got off to a slow start, but once Sullivan took over, he was ridiculous. I believe he finished second or third in the league in scoring when he wasn't even top 10 halfway thru the yearAs someone who didn't watch but saw stats is Sid still that dude? seems the team won in spite of him not because. His regular season stats weren't exactly gaudy (for his standards) either, is father time already knocking?
When I heard the sharks made the final I nearly threw up in my mouf. The thought of this no heart lump hoisting the trophy is just not right. Thankfully order was restored
Good for Schultz. Kid is a scrub but still didn't deserve the hate he got in oil country

Yeah I think the SOG total is misleading though. They were playing desperate and tried to throw everything they could at us. Pens players were shot blocking machines and breaking up passes and all kinds of things. So I don't think their low shot totals were from lack of effort. That was one of the most high energy hockey games I've ever seenPens deserved it,by far the better team in this series...that being said Sharks had a weird turn in this series. They werent the same team that beat the Blues...they were hesitant and scared to shoot in this series.
They had less than 5 SOG in the 3rd period of game 6 of the finals, down 3-2...looked like such a different team and i cant explain why.

He's a 13-15 minute 2nd pairing guy not a cornerstone like we tried to make him. Add him to the lost of players we mismanaged - Miro Satan, Dan Clearly, etc. Happy for the guy
he should thank all the hating ass leaf fans for this opportunityPhil Kessel
