So it basically sounds like I will really like this movie. I really wasn't expecting this movie to attack the themes of superhero culpability and morality beyond a surface level anyway, but the gripes I'm reading in the article sound very similar to what I heard about B vs S, which I loved, and RDJ is a great actor so seeing him use his range to do more than be the witty billionaire playboy is something I'm looking forward to.
I personally want superhero movies to take themselves a little bit more seriously, to be honest. Comic books tackle some heavy topics pretty often. There's no reason their film counterparts can't do the same. The reliance on "fun" is why scenes that are supposed to be takenjoyed seriously tend to fall flat.
