I made a thread when i first got here talking about how cool it wouldve been growing up in da 70s and 80s, but when i think about it, the early 2000s was the shyt. It was an era where the streets ran the media, from rap to the NBA.
Easily the best era for ignorance
Highlights of this era

Maybe it was, but from what i seen, the early 2000s was like a perfect blend of the 90s, and right now. nikkas werent extra grimey, dusty killing everything that moves, but they were still on they street shyt, fashion tip, all without dressing like complete homos.

I cant imagine growing up in NY during that fat gold chain era tho

bytches only liking thugs and drug pushers

Everyone wearing the same 3 clothing brands and same matching colors

Skateboarding or any outdoor activity that doesn't have a basketball or football was considered "White"

Mean mugging at an all time high

Cats fighting over the Jay vs. Nas shyt

Cats thinking that blood or crip was life was meant to be.

Cats thinking that the LOX could drop a game-changing album

When Pop stars were at an all time high, quantity wise.

When gun talk was popular

When baggy clothes was the ONLY kind of clothes you wore. Even the 3 piece suits.

When cats hated on Will Smith and Nick Cannon for being "soft"

This is what i remember the early 2000s being like

lmao. i had about 6 of them welcome to the hood shirt even a long sleeve one. in the winter i throw my carharrt hoodie over that shyt. carharrt was notourious with nikkkas selling drugs, i remember being stopped and questioned by the cops 3 times.

Ya for real. Early 2000s were the fukking truth. I mean, I was just a teenager and shyt, but everything was so dope. I just remember the music. At skate town and every song that came on was me and my nikkas songs. We'd tear that muhfukka apart.
