Basically, Ron is a stand in for a friend of JKR's who did not share her romantic interest, as a kid. She's admitted that he was based on her friend Sean Harris, and she's admitted that Hermione was VERY similar to her as a Child/Yound Adult/Teen.

Then this article adds the last puzzle piece. Hermione got it on with Ron because of Wish Fullfillment. Nothing else.

She also admitted that at some point he had saved her from something while driving a Ford Anglia (The car Ron saves Harry in in the movies).

it's not a coincidence that JKRs writing went way downhill as soon as the first movie came out.. it's like she was distracted with the idea that the book would become a movie. there's a reason why GOF is the best (IMO) then the 5th was mad bloated, self-corrected the 6th, then the 7th was a mess.. probably told her to make it enough to split in 2

I think POA was the best. GOF 2nd. DH 3rd. And after that, the order doesn't matter anymore except COS. COS is always last. always

Harry and Ginny , always felt forced and never gelled should have always been Hermione and Harry, Ron was a wing-man and nothing more.

I agree with this. Even if it was Harry and Cho, that it would have been cool. But Ginny? Your best friend's little sister? It didn't help that they had ZERO on screen chemistry.

Chamber of Secrets was my favorite. It told us the whole back story of Lord Voldemort.

J.K. Rowling is basically an average writer who lucked out when world building. Her execution was horrible in the second half of this series after Goblet of Fire.

I don't necessarily like Harry with Hermione because it would've been the easy route, ... but at the very least if J.K. could've acknowledged that Hermione had a crush on him. I can't imagine a girl hanging with Harry, who is basically that dude, and not liking him. Even if they are best friends. What qualities does Ron even show that supremely chump Harry's? It was all very contrived.

Sirius death still pissed me off.

Sirius was a cool ass dude and his death was like shytty cliffhanger that they never wrapped up.

Unless they explained more about that shyt that he fell into in an interview she had or something, but I never heard anything.

I also feel like JK Rowling just wanted to killl him off by the way he died.

Yeah Harry with Luna was a really good match, you could see their chemistry in the Order of the Phoenix. They both lost their mothers and when Harry lost Sirius Luna was the only one who truly understood.

I wanted Harry to be with Luna as well.....him ending up with Ginny was just bad and in the movies those two had no chemistry.

and i loved deathly hallows . just not the part at the end where they were old because of who they married
