Where she really fukked up was making Ronald Weasley a chump. Ron was clearly Harry's lancer but nikka wasn't about shyt she also gave Harry Potter way too much shine even thought he's the main character. If Ron was a competent friend, it would have made sense for him to be with Hermione. I was when it turned out that Dumbledore making Ron a prefect was a charity case.

Even though Ron got with Hermione it still feels like a handout and dude is taking Ls for every year and every child he has with Hermione.

Your right , she should of made Ron a more competent character in some regard , instead he's gonna 49 years old divorced and a sad sack living in the glory days when he was best friends with the boy who lived .

Disagree with Harry/Hermione since Ron/Hermione was hinted at since Book 2 and it was a case of two opposite people completing each other.

The dance scene a couple of people posted is actually why its Ron/Hermione and not Harry/Hermione, she was still miserable after the dance without Ron. Ron livened them up Harry's moodiness and Hermione's cautiousness could've grated on each other. Also Harry point blank told Ron he doesn't see Hermione like that and they were more or less a couple by Book 6 since they were spending time w/ each other over the summer w/o Harry. I liked them as a couple.

I think people are holding the movies as canon when the books fleshed out these details.

Breh, is still playing second fiddle to Harry, even in careers. They both become Aurors but Harry Potter becomes head of office which makes him Ron's boss Ron might as well call him daddy.

Jk Rowlong was hinting HEAVILY as far back as GOF that Hermione/Ron were going to be the official pairing of the three. Chris Columbus even made sure to push the tension between them in Chamber Of Secrets which is why instead of hugging Ron at the end they have this awkward moment. Columbus DIRECTLY put that scene in there to start mounting the romantic angle between them, the rest of the series just shat th end with it

that might have worked if they kept the same director etc for all the movies

Never read the books or watched the movies past the first one but I thought Harry/Hermoine seemed obvious.

But to JK Rowling for when that one fan was bytching about a black girl playing Hermoine in a play and she was like "bytch all I described in the books was her hair color, I never said she was white. You assumed that"
