I've explained my ancestry before on here. I'm half-Bolivian. My Bolivian side did not benefit off of the labor of African-Americans or white privilege in the United States. In fact, when they moved here in the 1960s they themselves were subjected to racism.

My white side were Scots-Irish immigrants that came here probably in the late 1890s (post-slavery). They were poor sharecroppers in Arkansas and Oklahoma that worked alongside African Americans. Did they benefit from white privilege? Probably. They likely were paid more than the black people they were working besides. But they didn't accumulate wealth off of the back of black people.

Maybe you shouldn't presume about my life or ancestry



As far as your personal struggle, if what you said is true I'm glad that you've been able to make good things out of a bad situation. That's a very admirable thing. I'm just not sure what that, or any of this has to do with Timbs
