More than anything they needed some sort of proper structure backstage. From all accounts it was pretty much a clusterfukk free-for-all with no real leadership and everyone randomly trying to go into business for themselves at any given moment. Was def reflected in the on-screen product.

In a perfect world you convince the suits to eat the cost and fire Hogan at the minimum, keep Nash and Hall, but end NWO once and for all.

First off Goldberg/Hogan would of been held off to bash at the beach and that would of been at the Georgia Dome. Goldberg continues the streak through the rest of 98 beating Nash at StarrCade. The First Nitro of 99 begins the destruction of the NWO, Hulk challenges Goldberg at Sold out Nash confronts him and they come to blows and The Wolfpac and NWO groups come out and brawl throughout the arena to end the show. this continues for a number of weeks and JJ Dillon books a war games match at sold out looser must disband match which results in black and white loosing and Hogan taking a vacation.

At the same time were elevating Booker T, Beniot, Scott Steiner, and Eddie Guerrero as uppercarders to challenge Goldberg throughout early 99. Finally Goldberg is defeated by the United States champion Booker-T in a champion vs champion match at Bash at the beach 99. Booker would be champion for the rest of 99.
