I had a homie way back who used to say when he hit the pen, the first thing he would do is go into the showers and start sexually assaulting men, "one, two, three....", he was smoking a blunt, and just rambling high, and I swear that was one of the few times I remember laughing so hard I was crying.....He was delusional. He hit the feds eventually, and found out what it's really like.
Prison rape is unacceptable, as far as it happening in an allegedly rehabilitative facility, but it's really the most prevalent in State facilities, nonexistent in county jails (at least in San Diego) and very uncommon in Feds, I'd imagine state and county jails in poorer states are hell on earth, but still, it's not typical, it's not the normal experience.
it's not a Caribbean vacation. 23 hr lock down in a 10x5 cell with a toilet and a bunkie you don't know wtf in for. Nothing to do but sleep and push-ups. I said I did fine because I was cool with everyone and was a big nikka, Lil young nikkas was calling me "big brah" or "big homie" based off my looks. I had a bunkie that was a grape street crip crying the entire night when he first got in. After quarantine was done I had another bunkie who was Latino and was crying because he ain't think jail was like that.
