Y’all never stick to the fukking rules and answer the question. :snoop:

To actually answer your question OP I would move to NYC. Way more to do than Los Angeles and the city is actually traversable whereas in Los Angeles it takes fukking two hours to travel 20 miles during rush-hour.

To answer the question OP: NYC

-closer to Africa and Europe for travel. Direct flights to lagos, london, paris, jozi etc
-more of my family in the US is on the East coast
-I prefer the east coast generally. DC, NYC, Philly etc Just feels like the “right” American time zone

I’d deff have a residence in LA. The bi-coastal life in the US is nice no lie.

LA as an answer to the question but in general neither.

Why would I get rich and then immediately move somewhere that damn near instantly begins to deflate my money?

Like getting a raise and then immediately upgrading your car/living arrangements.

Kinda defeats the purpose of the come-up....

But maybe that's just me?

Part of the come up is being able to enjoy the things you couldn’t before no?

Nyc and LA offer world class experiences if you can afford it.

Isnt the whole point of money to give you access to live where you want and have access to do things you like and enjoy.

Yea I’m surprised more people didn’t call this out.

Your experience in global cities like nyc, la, london, paris etc just hits way different when you have money. Access to the best restaurants, shows, events etc.

Here in Cali, tech bros cash out in SF and head to LA on that next flight out :lolbron:

Neither. I have zero intentions of moving back to NYC (lived the first 10 years of my life there) and there are better places in Cali than LA

Idk man.

Maybe I'm just a simple dude.

I get stupid rich tomorrow, I'm buying a nice plot of land, building a mod home in front with a zookcabin in the back for my sister n her family, and I might do the same in Minnesota.

I'll travel where I wanna go but I just have zero desire to buy into either of the most expensive places to live in this country.

I'd rather be at home in a city suburb where I can do music, read books and write at my leisure than be out hobknobing with people who tbh, I have very little liking or relational affinity with.

As long as I can have my barber do biweekly housecalls and then catch a plane to wherever I wanna go, I don't see why I'd LIVE there.

My one likely real estate splurge would be buying a plot and building a nice but still within uniformity of my neighbors down in the Caribbean.

One of my aunts has a bunch of homes down there in the US Virgin, and I'd do a nice build close to her down there. That's it.
