ME ME ME
I used to ask my older brother to beat this level for me.
I remember the day I finally beat that level (w/o game genie)

I did and I actually give that game credit for pushing me to come up with a strategy to solve a problem outside of school. I can't remember an earlier time in where I sat there and was like... how am I going to get past this shyt. It got to a point in where I would only use Ralph since his weapon in the game was GARBAGE...you couldn't THROW THEM. Then I went with Mike, Leo, and of course Don at the end. I was able to get past it and then realize when I got up to the surface that I could get run over by that van or whatever the fukk it was.
One of the most frustrating games of all time. fukked up they would release a game that appeals to 4-5 year olds at the time and it being broken as fukk.
I miss these days. When games actually presented a challenge and not everyone got a fukking trophy for playing.
I dont know how many times i would get stuck on this one level.
It got to the point where just beating this one stage alone was enough gratification for me to justify playing this golden turd of a game.
like how do you expect your target audience at the time (6-11 year olds) to beat this shyt?? Konami had a sick sense of humor to make this the SECOND level of the game.

I feel weird when people say this cause I used to fly through this level.
The next level is where the game actually begins. You get the turtle van and instructions on where to go.
Good Lord this game was hard and terrible. It might be the only game where I had to watch the ending on youtube. I honestly don't think the developers even beat this game.

Games people claimed where hard, were easy to me. TMNT had its parts, but the level you just posted didn't register as hard to me. Not even looking at it now, seemed simple Battletoads gets tossed around as hard (wasn't for me) I even beat Friday the 13th. Hard games imo were Deadly Towers, Golgo 13 even tho I beat that w/out using a map.. like, I literally wondered til I got thru. Beating Contra and Lifeforce w/out the cheat code, Knocking tyson down in the first rd. (there is a way, cuz I did it back then) basically what I discovered and til this day haven't seen ppl speak on is you can catch Tyson before he throws a lightning punch and you'll get a star. I didn't perfect it, just did it a few times. Now ya know. And I guess maybe Castlevania II because nobody could pass the part where you have to kneel at the wall then the tornado takes you thru it. We had to wait til Nintendo Power showed us the way
