This post is funny because the majority of knockouts happen from shots to the jaw/chin. That's what causes your brain to shake and knock you out. That's why the term glass chin comes from.

Hopkins gets into it here. That's why as a boxer you supposed to hide your chin behind your shoulder. Because people will break their hands punching you on the top of the head.

:noah: B-hop too far over Hashadge's head with the hands game

Okay, you have these videos of what appears to be dudes under 140 lbs. throwing a straight punch to the temple. The softest part of the skull. If you have them doing that to the jaw or cheek, well there's going to be a hard impact that's going to hurt but you could survive. The punches thrown in a boxing ring that KO their opponents are being thrown by an athlete who has been training for years, not some ding dong from high school. It's comparing apples to oranges.
Nowhere in the video are the kids throwing a punch to the jaw or cheek.

The title of this thread says it all, chin tucked and hands up. Now, where is this high school kid going to punch? His one main target is the side of the head, that's it. He has no plan B.

Okay, that is true, but it is dependant on the fighter/boxer. So you have a kid who doesn't weight train or exercise throwing a sucker punch, there's going to less behind the punch so it is beneficial to get the one-punch to the soft part of the head.
I'm short and have short arms. I would rather move to get hit on my chin rather than my temple. I'll take the one punch first and then counter attack. You're a boxer so you know what I'm talking about.

You can get killed by a punch to the chin/jaw. It's the knockout and subsequent fall to the ground that kills you not just a punch to the temple. That temple lunch shyt is a myth you hear as kids. It doesn't matter if its the weakes part of your skull. You still punching skull.

They been doing that here for the longest. Their punks, who only prey on the weak. Never would they try that on a physically fit person

Elex Murphy was convicted of second-degree murder.
ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis man was sentenced to life in prison plus 25 years Thursday for killing a Vietnamese immigrant as part of a so-called "knockout game" attack.

Elex Murphy, now 20, was convicted last month of second-degree murder and first-degree assault in the April 2011 killing of Hoang Nguyen, 72.

Nguyen was walking home with his wife from a trip to a store when he was attacked by a four teenagers. Three other people were reported to be with Murphy that day, but no one else was charged in the case.

In the "knockout game," people are picked at random and beaten. The attacks are sometimes captured on cellphone video, and some have been posted on social media sites.

The defense argued that no physical evidence linked Murphy to the crime, and that another man's DNA was found in blood on glasses that had been knocked off the victim's wife, Yen Nguyen, during the attack.

Prosecutors said Murphy broke away from the group, grabbed Nguyen's shirt, and punched him so hard he fell to the ground. Murphy then hit Hoang Nguyen in the eye, knocking the glasses off his face.

Yen Nguyen, 62, identified Murphy to police and in court. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that she told the court Thursday, through a translator, about the impact the attack has had on her life, saying she is left to feel "very lonely."

"When we came here, we came here as a couple," Nguyen said.

Since the trial last month, Nguyen has gained her American citizenship. She wore an American flag pin on the lapel of her blazer.

"My family is destroyed," Nguyen said in court. "But I believe this country is a country of freedom. Even though I am very lonely I will try to live, I will try to work hard."
:snoop: we as black people are unfairly expected to defend this type of shyt constantly when something like Trayvon happens

So, the chin and jaw are more solid than the temple. Anyone who has been in a fist fight knows that your knuckles hurt, bone on bone contact. These high school kids are not hardened fighters, they are not going to hurt themselves in this one-punch knockout game. They could attempt a punch to the jaw or chin, but they are taking the easier way out.

You can be knocked knocked out if hit at the point where ur jaw and chin connected... you can also be knocked out if your brain is not ready for the blow. When your brain is ready and anticipating a blow it reduces the chances of being knocked out dramatically. I once punched a man 50 times in the face on some ground and pound shyt with his head bouncing of the concrete in ATL... he did not go unconscious... he was however put on a stretcher and couldn't move for a few days. Came back to the hood lookin like willy ump lump... btw this ain't england these lil nikkaz are gonna get shot.
