If it just about wrestling you just cut out a ton of guys. I find it funny that the dudes who can actually wrestle and put on an entertaining match all the time are the ones who mid carders and never get the top spot. The only exception I can think of are Bret and Shawn.
If it's just about wrestling, RAW threads should be named "The Daniel Bryan Weekly Appreciation Thread".
When Bret and Shawn were solidly on top, it almost tanked the WWE.

It almost tanked cuz at the time, the F was GAWD AWFUL gimmick wrestling. The single WORSE era in pro wrestling, hands down. I say that, because the pro wrestling that we know didn't start until the muthafukking Pontiac Silverdome housed 90,000+ fans and said "We in here"
Bret and Shawn were the ONLY selling points worth a damn, as the Undertaker was fighting giant retards and other gimmick monsters. The idea at the time was to try to make it kid friendly by making as many cartoon characters as possible, to move away from the steroid scandal. The current E is FAR superior, as it tried to distance itself from Chris Benoit as much as possible.
That era was like the first model of the Matrix and backfired, crops of fans were lost.

You have to put it on Bret and Shawn..they were given the green light over the Undertaker, Sid, and everyone else. They were the selling points? Well they failed in that capacity because no one was going out of their way to watch or talk about the WWF during that timeframe...only thing anyone remembers from 1996 in the WWE is Razor being majorly over for a few months, Austin's 3:16 speech, Vader getting fukked over as a main event guy, and Sid winning the belt. That was it. shyt was terrible. And it was terrible because they weren't good enough to bring things up to the next level. It's amusing to see others try to make excuses for their shortcomings during that run. GOAT yet fans RUN away from watching you? I don't think so.
