If you had to rank The Terminator, Terminator 2, Predator, Predator 2, Alien, Aliens, Robocop and Robocop 2, what would your ranking be?

I used to be one of those people who preferred T2 over the original, but as the years and decades have gone on, I now prefer the more sci-fi/horror feel of the original. T2 is still a top-tier action/sci-fi film.

Each of these films has its charm: the original Terminator for its gritty tension, Aliens for its adrenaline-pumping thrill, Robocop for its sharp satire, and so on. Even the bottom two (Robocop 2 and Predator 2) are still solid fun.

I loved Robocop 2 as a kid but as I got older it's a hard watch with the stop motion. Robocop 1 is still great IMO. T2 and Aliens are 2 of my favorite movies of all time. The others are all good except I'm not too crazy about Predator 2, all the other sequels were better except the one that had the kid with the tarded helmet and the Key in it.

Not the biggest fan of the Aliens franchise outside of the first movie and I don't remember enough about Robocop movies to put them above Predator 2 which I've been stanning since I was a kid till this day

I remember going to see T2 and my dad enjoyed it but he was a huge og Terminator fan and side eyed T2 because of Edward Furlongs presence. Being older now i understand why and I also prefer T1. It had that horror feel and was just grimey and dirty. T2 is an all timer but I also feel young John brings the film down just a bit. That's my take.

I feel the same way about the Terminators. I liked T2 more as a kid but liked T1 better as I rewatched it years later. I like the pacing, writing, and atmosphere better.

Alien and Aliens also has a similar type of thing where the original has more suspense/horror elements, while the sequel has more summer action blockbuster elements to it. I like Aliens more in those case though.

Aliens and Terminator are probably tied at my spot at #1.

Ranking the 3-5 spots is tough as I think all are excellent, but I guess I’ll go with Predator, T2, then Robocop. I need to rewatch Robocop as I haven’t seen it in so long.

I have the same 6-8 with Alien, Robocop 2, and Predator 2. Alien to Robocop 2 is a pretty big drop though.

Predator 2 is under appreciated. People didn’t like seeing Danny Glover in an action role/leading man. Really great movie
