Good news- there really is nothing good to report. All the rappers that were hot when you went in the coma became bigget and have fallen off. Only sliver of hope is out of the music that has dropped in the last 20 years, you find some new rappers to be fans of. Well, Kanye and Wayne are still sort of a thing, but are so far removed from how you remember them, they will probably seem like new artists to you. When you get to Nas's catalog, you may discover just how long you were comatose. When you went in the coma, he had six albums plus Lost Tapes. Since then he's dropped like 15 projects. There's some real gems in there especially Life Is Good and the last six albums.
Bad news- just to prove how my point of how you may be disappointed in the rappers that were hot: T.I. became a comedian. The biggest thing 50 Cent has been a part of since GRODT is making hit shows on cable television. Lil' Scrappy and Diamond from Crime Mob are now on a reality television series. Trick Daddy is too. Ludacris moved on to acting. Dr. Dre finally dropped another album, but it wasn't Detox. Jay Z came out of retirement. That sounds good on paper, but out of the albums he dropped only American Gangster is great. The rest range from good to average to wack.
