but loosing your sense of "feeling" (touch, pain, hunger, etc) could be very problematic I imagine

yeah nothing like having a bear mauling your ass and you being totally unaware of the situation. Or a spider laying eggs inyour ear or some other craziness. IMHO people take touch forgranted. Plus getting it on would be boring as all hell.

I think most people would obviously choose sight, but I would choose touch.

Pain and pleasure are more important to me.

Besides, I don't need to have sight to know where my dikk is. I can masturbate to the weird sexual fantasies that a person would have without being influenced by the other senses, only by purely biological programming.

If a human child was born without the ability to see, hear, taste, smell, speak but they could still "feel", how would it decipher the purely biological desire to reproduce or have an orgasm? If this person could masturbate, what would it think of for stimulation? Maybe the feeling itself?

Well if there's any truth to the matrix then our mind creates a mental image of ourself. IF we had touch we could get a rough estimation of what a body "feels like". Arms, head, legs, torso, yang.

The question is if you could feel "it" how would you know you were doing it right to the other person, they couldn't communicate with you right?

I mean there'd be a lot of "wrong hole" awkward type moments.

Joking aside i think that with JUST touch you could put together some pretty decent crude approximations of the world around you.

You're right. For some reason I put that in there (Maybe the three monkeys- deaf, blind, mute ?)

So we'll add smelling and keep speaking.


There are way more than 5 senses. Somewhere between the number of 20-30 if I recall. Balance, temperature determination, and so on.
