Then why do people log onto the coli all day and night calling people c00ns without going unchecked? I'm sorry but "cornball brotha" doesn't hold a candle to the word "c00n". That original thread is ridiculously long and from the parts I've read most people agree that Parker was out of line and was basically implying that he was an Uncle Tom, another harsh insult.

What I don't get is what is with the situational decency? Is the word c00n not offensive to a lot of you? Are you only upset when someone offends your favorite athlete/entertainer? Some of you are just flat out fraudulent people. If you're gonna talk about it, be about it. I swear before I joined that old site I probably heard the word c00n a couple of times the entire time I've been on this earth. The last several years has seen a lot of ignorant people (on this and that site) using this word more and more and incorrectly at that. If so many people are tired of the ignorance then prove it. I don't believe a lot of you dudes in that thread.

Part of me thinks a lot of guys had a nerve struck by the "cornball" part rather than the intimation that RG3 is an Uncle Tom. I think Rob Parker may have accidentally brought up some hurtful childhood memories for a few coli members.

I see a lot of people saying everyone is giving espn the attention that they want. Well if you are genuinely offended and want something constructive to come from this then the least we can all do is stop calling each other these derogatory terms on here. You can't stop ignorance, only hope to contain it...

You make some points. Some people do adhere to situational decency and deeper issues usually are at play for a lot of people and ESPN does thrive off attention. However I must take issue with the comparison between random nikkas on a message board and Rob Parker or any other journalist/pundit. The expectations for a member of the media are not the same as the expectations for a nikka in his mom's basement or stealing time on his work/school computer. Rob Parker is a professional and therefore is expected to adhere to the standards of being a professional. Calling a man out for being a "cornball" and having white wife is something you would expect and accept from a comedian or your average nikka on the street but an "esteemed and respected journalist" not so much.

BTW- Since we are crusading against ignorance can we get rid of "Uncle Tom" being used as a pejorative?

Could it be something to do with the fact that this is a public loosely mediated forum free to a wide variety of juvenile ideas versus the corporate responsibility which should restrict ESPN from broadcasting such dimwitted #fukkery ?

You can say that again, cuz your post is maaaad ignorant :stopitslime:
nikka... ******... c00n nikka... rekkac00n :hula:
The difference between myself and Rob Parker? This the Internet, this ain't television, this ain't ESPN, this isn't the most popular morning show on TV
I don't go around witch hunting c00nish actin cornballs, and I agree it's used incorrectly too often. In Rob's case (rob Parker) he's being the c00n because he took a pro black statement and tried to flip it. Then tried to use RG3's choice of girlfriend as his :ohhh: moment of clarity which pleases his masters aka ESPN aka White America

Now to try to police that online? :rudy:

I'm certain more white people use that term on here than blacks. White, Spanish, any non black. Then blacks. You'd know that if you spent time in the barbershops :cape: (I kid)
What you suggested makes more sense offline. And for your info, the word got banned on SOHH because a white dude was questioning if another poster was a c00n because he was acting friendly with an openly racist poster (who wasn't really racist)
The answer was yes, xbs :stylin: @Rekkapryde

What’s not to get? It goes hand-in-hand with the situational OUTRAGE these clowns on here like to express just as frequently.

Clearly you either don’t post a lot or just don’t pay attention to what others have been posting for years.

I see a lot of people saying everyone is giving espn the attention that they want. The fact that you’re looking for a moral compass from THIS crowd shows that either (a) you’re on the wrong forum, or (b) you are SUPER naïve. I mean let’s be real, you’re looking for moral turpitude from dudes who get off on pretending to be women/trannies? :childplease:

More specific to your point….you’re wondering about people being “offended” by the Parker/RGIII situation and not by the use of the word c00n on The Coli and on SOHH? Well:

....yet ANOTHER reason why it's laughable to expect morality from THIS crowd.

T/S might be posting on the wrong site....

This thread is the truth. Everyone knows how much I love to go on a c00n hunt and calling them out. so it's would be hypocritical of me to get offended by Rob Parker's comments, even though he's one of the dumbest nikkas on tv.
