If you could make a Grand Theft Auto movie, how would you do it?

It would be more fun if this for new GTA 6 story video game than making a movie for this. GTA movie would be fail but new GTA game would be dope
low key the game would be more fun LOL. like i said, it combines all 3 major gta locales, and spans at least a 20 year period which can combine the Vice City storyline, the San andreas and IV/V timelines.

I work professionally with a very major game developer...who develops a similar scale game as GTA...i should really pitch this to him.

the games themselves are like movies so making an actual movie would b pointless. Id just b watching it like :snoop: I could b playing this.
The Houser brothers themselves have said they will never give rights to a studio to make a movie. They see GTA specifically is a challenge to cinema that 'video games are better'.

For real. Every time you play a new GTA game you know it's a movie and you're the star. Hence the open world concept. Turning that into an actual movie would defeat the whole purpose of GTA. Like someone says you'd just be watching it saying well I would do this or that different or just use this weapon or use this car. Nothing about GTA would make it a good movie. The game is the movie.

do you believe the storyboard I wrote above would be worthy of the GTA title, and be fairly faithful to their universe?

Yea it's dope breh. Seems like it would be a long ass game with a huge ass map. I'd be down, but it would probably be the longest storyline of all the gta games. I think thats where they should be heading anyway with the next game. Connect all the previous stories into one epic saga.

Epic crime saga that starts with a rookie car thief in Liberty City, end of the 70s. He gets into trouble with a member of a big time Italian mob family and flees to Vice City. During the 80s the city becomes heaven for criminals and he rises in the criminal underworld, Scarface style. The mafia ends up finding him and leaves for Los Santos, where he hooks up with gang members in the 90s and ends up robbing a mob casino in Las Venturas. Their group is taken out by corrupt cops working with the mob and he comes back to Liberty City in the 00s, finds out the Italian mafia is being decimated by the FBI and with the money he has left from the heist hires some small-time Russian thugs to exact his personal revenge. Time skip to the present, where he's enjoying his days working in a garage in peace, only to find Russian mobsters knocking at his door to shake him down, as those small-time Russian thugs have grown in strength and have now taken over the city, completing the circle.

GTA 3 would probably be the best game in the series to transition to a movie. We've seen the mute protagonist in Drive. There's a colorful cast of characters. Great setting. And for those that remember, the story was pretty dope.

you know how when you get bored of playing the story in gta you just go around using cheats for infinite ammo, god mode etc, and just go around blowing ish up until you max out the stars and see how long you could survive?

a real life movie of that, with no story line at all would be pretty cool:krs:

They should have all the protagonists in one bigass twisted storyline over a three hour film. Or even two part series. The plot should be over some stupidly ridiculous amount of money, and be set in a city that's a mash of Vice City and San Andreas. Some of the more memorable NPCs should also make appearances.
