Yeah I don't have a problem with Superman. He's THE superhero. My problem is with all of those other Supes knockoffs. "Great Value" a$$ Supes, "Save-a-lot" a$$ Supes.
Matter of fact, no - Scarlet Witch. Why is she still around?
Gambit in the comics is such a horrible character...he was getting HALFWAY interesting when they made him a Sinister errand boy but they went back on it and he became gay and soft again. He's just a character spinning his wheels..X-23 is more interesting than that goofball and she's a new type in the game.

He had that one classic where he was in love with ol girl went to find her all that that.shyt classic man plus he throw energy cards wear a trench coat and use a staff.Cant nix him come on.Gambit triple OG,Robin quadruple OG,and Superman was the creator of all this shyt.Yall talking crazy.None of these characters are expendable.Has to be someone annoying like Bucky or Guy Gardner.just there to put people over.
On subject, I'm changing my answer. Jean Grey NEVER should have come back to life after the Dark Phoenix Saga. That was a great story, and she's a great character-- resurrecting her just opened too many cans of worms that didn't need to be opened. That retcon really cheapened the impact of her sacrifice, led to a lot of overly convoluted stories, and helped set up events that did lasting damage to the character of Cyclops as well.
From a storytelling perspective, some characters need to just stay dead after the die. (Uncle Ben, Gwen Stacy, Elektra, Skurge the Executioner, etc.)
As far as Gambit goes, he's not really a HORRIBLE character, but he's definitely more flash than substance. The thing you'll notice with a lot of the other X-characters is that their struggles, challenges, and unique perspectives on life are every bit as interesting as their powers and fighting scenes. Cyclops and Storm are butt-kicking superheroes, but you get to see them being people at the same time.
If ya'll disagree, it's all good, but I don't really get that from Gambit. He feels too much like just a mishmash of random "cool" personality traits. Even when they went back and tried to flesh out his backstory, a lot of fans were like and the writers have barely touched him since.
Gambit has some dope moments, but he's simply too one-note IMO for me to put up there with the likes of GOAT characters like Nightcrawler, Cyclops, Colossus, Storm, Magneto, Beast, and even Logan*. Still, he's FAR better than a lot of characters that came after him who were just status (Stacy X, Adam X the X-treme, Lifeguard, Slipstream, etc.)
He works well enough as a "guest" character who occasionally shows up to style on the leads, then disappears into the shadows, doing who-knows what.
Psylocke has the same problem. She's one of the DOPEST looking characters, but I can't tell you jack squat about her personality outside of her powers and appearance. Still, I wouldn't erase their existences though. I wouldn't erase the Fantastic Four either. They may be by today's standards, but they're still a cornerstone of comic book history and some of the most influential characters in the history of the medium.
* :as much as I'm tired of Logan stealing so much shine from the rest of the X-squad, especially in the movies and shows)
Rapist Dr Light. Identity Crisis was a stain on DC as a whole the moment it came out. Sue Dibny should of never been raped, Dr light should of never been lobotimized and batman should of never been had his memory erased. In the end seeing Dr Light eventually be melted by The Spectre wasn't nearly satisfying enough.
I thought they were gonna end up making her Wanda's daughter but they went left field with her and grew her up so she could have sex with Jamie Madrox? Ridiculous
Probably the opposite actually. Logan was and still is one of the main drawing points to the X-Men, especially for people that are "not fans of the mutant struggle ".
Without Wolverine, and to a lesser extent Cyclops and Storm, the X-Men come off as second tier, kind of the same way any Avengers roster without Cap, Iron Man and Thor doesn't look legit. They are the strongest and most dynamic personalities and players on the team. Without those characters, the teams seem lost and directionless. AND Logan is the only character who has proven to be able to hold a solo book amongst the X-Men, he is a draw with or without them. Can they say the same?
And straight up, if I can pick one and only one character I'd pick Wonder Woman. Her entire position as a character is based on the fact that she is a girl rather than her being a great character or of equal importance of the rest of the Trinity. You take her out and The GAWD Flash get's the 3rd spot in the Trinity
