I ask because I find that a lot of so called "christians" seem more in awe of the idea of Jesus then the reality of actually meeting him. These people will go to church on sunday then go out into the world and avoid eye contact with the homeless man asking for charity. Here's a news flash for you all, Jesus was a bum. Your bible tells you that. Why do you think he says give to the poor?

I think Jesus could be the dude in front of you a dollar short and holding up the line, He could be the lady next to you who dropped her stuff and people are walking by her, He could be the dude who needs a boost to get his car running, He could be the lost guy needing some directions and even the neighbor you've never seen before asking for a cup of sugar.

I think he would disguise himself but be in a position of needing help. He talked about the greatest law being Love the Lord with all you have and Love your neighbor as yourself.

Too many people walk past others needing help acting holier than thou and not realizing they are acting like Pharasees.

i dont believe in religions but the one thing i like and that i feel should be people's only focus is LOVE. loving your fellow human being. jesus the man is never returning but the idea never left, it just got fukked up. we are ALL god's children. treat everybody with love and respect whether or not u think they might be jesus here to test u.

What you're talking about isn't "Jesus", it's empathy. Religion has some positives for society but the idea that you need an archaic ideology as a reason to love your neighbor is bullshyt, anyone who needs "Jesus" in order to be capable of empathy may not be that good to begin with

Being a good person and performing good deeds will not get you into Heaven (if that is the destination you seek). But then again according to the pope atheists, agnostics and others can.
