Collected garbage pail kids cards
Went to the movies to see Mac and Me and thought he was cooler than E.T.
Woke up earlier on Saturday mornings to watch pee wee's play house so you can scream "the word of the day"
If you knew the lyrics to self destruction and fight the power.
Played hot peas and butter, double dutch, steal the bacon, skully.. etc
Knew the entire dance routine to Michael Jackson's Thriller
I could go on, and on....
My fondest memory is whenever this song came on the radio, you couldn't tell me I wasn't the shyt!

I was born in 1980. I am an 80's Baby all day. My entire childhood was in the 80's. I grew up on G.I. Joes, Transformers, He Man, Smurfs, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Prince, Whitney, Rock Hair Bands, Atari (missile command, Donkey Kong) and Nintendo (Mario, Kung Fu) The Cosby Show, Different Strokes, Silver Spoons, Reagon, Star Wars, E.T., Indiana Jones, Rocky Movies, The Crack Epidemic the whole 9. The term "80's Baby" means you are a Product of the 80's. Jay Z, NaS, Biggie were 70's babies but they were teens of the 80's. For me it was basically:

1980's= child of the 80's
1990's= teen of the 90's
2000's= adult of the millennium


I'm not a 90's baby. I'm an 80's baby period. The 1980's are the pillars of my being.

I was self aware in the 1980's, I'm an 80's baby all day. Now If you were born in the Late 80's then yes I would consider you more of a 90's baby then 80's baby. Drake was born in 86, Kendrick was born in 87, they are mos def more 90 babies than 80's babies.

Outside of the "Baby Boomers", it seem "80's Babies" has been the newest pop culture term. The 80's was mos def one of the GOAT decades. The music, Fashion, Movies, Shows it was just unique as f@ck. Glad I got to live it. As for people saying Jay Z was wrong to say he was a "Child of the 80's", that technically wrong, he's more a child of the 70's. With that said he was age 11-21 through the entire 80's. I can see how he feels he's a product of the 80's.
