"Better" template? According to who's standard? God's? "Because God says so"? So anything God says you should do is automatically good?

*edit* And yes, actually! "Because your financial future will be in jeopardy" is one valid answer. What's so wrong with that? This is actually how we determine what's right, and wrong. It's a cost/benefit analysis, really.

Its just the way atheists do things and yes obviously gods way is better because it holds weight beyond the rules of a technologically advanced society. Godless people will make up the majority of the animals in ww3.

Scripture says it isnt up to man to decide who does and does not go to hell. Man should never speak on these things because its considered judgement. Hell is punishment and judges pass sentences. Its obvious where your mind is at which is probably the root of the issues you have with the concept of sin. There is too much responsibility in being good for most people.

yeah cuz if there's one thing the clergy and members of the church are known for, it's being non-judgmental.

Ain't no original sin, that shyt is bullshyt. That comes from a time where people believed that the world was flat and everybody would have heard of the hebrew god, they had no idea that there were vast foriegn lands.

what a copout

first part is arrogance a t*ts finest. "were privileged enough to know about and believe in jesus, :childplease: at the rest of these savages"

its 2012

Don't understand how it's arrogance. If they are guilty, they deserve to be punished if those who believe that viewpoint correct. No innocent people will be in hell. On the guilty will be there.

actually Jesus talks more about hell then anyone in the Bible. If you read the Bible it's pretty clear he talks about hell.

nope the meaning was lost in translation. Jesus talks about gehenna but never talks about hell. Jesus being a jew why would he talk about hell?

Hell is used in different ways. Sometimes the grave. Gehenna. But in some instances it's talking about eternal or everlasting fire. One example is below:
Matthew 25:41 “Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘aDepart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for cthe devil and his angels;

Yeah he is talking about the punishment for angels but humans are different. dude never talks about it but yet it is the major part of the faith.
