Haha. It's funny that it was on a personal note, lol.
But he's not wrong about Umar, or wrong about we got economic problems, solve those first and then talk about alphabet problems.
I sympathize with his politics, but I just don't understand his choice when it comes to a wife. He seems like a late convert that couldn't commit when it mattered most. People like him see it as 'hate' or 'policing' but it really is a cautionary tale when you're Black and politically conscious.
I have the same problem with Frederick Douglass, Thurgood Marshall, James Farmer, and Kwame Nkrumah. They just weren't as committed to the cause as BobbyWojak of The Coli.

Coming back to this....
One of the big talking points in the Black Traditional Circles is that
If Black Men and Black women, married each other more, raised their kids in 2 parent Households - the Black community would be 10x better - because there would be more parenting, less sons doing crimes, and less daughters having babies out of wedlock.
Those variables would also change educational achievement, which would also change economic situations.
Basically, if we solve the "black single mother" problem, we fix a lot of what's wrong with the community - all under the current racist/capitalist system.
Umar has suggested an alternative to monogamy. Solve the Black Single Mother problem, by having polygyny (for a time of course) to "stabilize" the family.
Funky Frimpong is saying instead we need to stay on white people's neck to get black jobs and to get better paying jobs for black people before we start looking at other things
Right. Better jobs and labor means marriages and ultimately families will be staying together. I agree with him on that and I do think many ways to "undo" some of our problems in our community comes down to economics to build ourselves up internally.
