Reigns is closer to Batista than anything. His run as the #1 heel in the WWE as champ will be world's better than any face run he'll deliver.
A month or two as a face champ and fans will sour again because he'll be booked like Cena("I Can, I Will") without the charisma of John and he has never had the support of the children like John has.
Wouldn't work. His hardcore fans that will carry him are the women - not children - and Vince should capitalize on that.
As a smooth talking, a$$hole heel, he'd be great, especially considering he's naturally arrogant.
His perfect nemesis would be the anti-hero Ambrose, who could be the slightly unstable, down to Earth, blue chipper in contrast to Reigns' preppy, egotistical "chosen one" disposition, but I doubt they run with Dean.
Vince should lock Roman in a room and make him watch hours of Rick Rude promos.

So put a champoinship on a guy who is universally booed, has terrible merchandise and does not connect with the crowd on the mic will create a boom period, how?
If they want another boom they should stop listening to the booing neckbeards and put the belt on Roman. Everyone knows it's going to happen anyway and crowds right now are fiending for a face as champ so this is the time to do it, especially since he'd be more of an outside draw than Ambrose would be (who is probably the most over guy in the company but I feel would have trouble drawing outside of the existing wrestling fanbase).
There will never be another boom until they go back to edgy programming but I definitely think either one could be champ

I hate the usos gimmick change.
plus, it undermines their perfect gimmick and gives them no avenue after this. Like wtf is the purpose of this character direction.
it has no drawing purpose and it hurts them as a wwf product.
as the WWE has no idea how to do urban and it just feels out of place.
plus it takes away from their look, and makes it like some relaunched booya tribe gimmick.

How is this WWE not knowing how to do urban? These guys are just going out and being themselves.

Gimmick ruins their perfect gimmick.
As this new gimmick makes no sense.
The usos ain't been to jail.
I don't look at them as some expression of urban anything.
Their other gimmick was as good of a WWE legacy hof gimmick as you could get. It had one of the best openings which was cultural and unique. That set them distinctly apart and ahead of the other general gimmicks of their past relatives on sight off gp.
As it totally embraced whom they were where they never were disrespected in general like mostly any and every gimmick that was Samoan in the wwf/wwwf/wwe.
their theme song, after their intro was flames and this new intro is not them on top and at their peak.
Next when Naomi was champ they should have been trying anyway to get some distinction on her reign and make it special via creative. When they also have a tag run.
Yet all their creative juice went to this change and imo, it feel it makes them generally boring and also sets them up for the WWE deavors too. As this new gimmick is so under developed. That if they went on the Indies with this gimmick.
it would never propel them back to the lime light. Nor, after this do I see them getting as inventive and deconstructive of the outside of the box as the hardy's to get back on.
This whole gimmick change I hope returns them to raw and their original gimmick. As they had enough time to play around and show they were urban.
When originally their gimmick was automatic WWE best of gimmick. Which included a hof best of intro, theme, look and nod to whom and what they are. Making them this urban tandem is stoopid and offers them no drawing room whatsoever.
Personally they need to change it back.
It is like what if jimmy superfly and haku and all of them just were never whom they were. That hurts this team and undermines their talent. Aa real talk,... They do have the charisma to and have lapped their cousin, roman numerous times on screen and conparwticely off screen.
On the low these two are sleeper dark horse WWE champions if the WWE would get a pulse.
Aa both are right now better characters than the hardy's were solo way before delete came about, in the hardy's second gimmick change. Plus they had a gimmick, where they also would be gateway children's favorite in the WWE.
Which is what this company is ultimately about and been about since thunderlips and rocky.
