If we live in an era where Drake's biggest hits are ghostwritten, why can't an AI rapper be the next big thing? (Really)

No matter how much we complain on the internet, the truth is, we have watered down (IMO) or evolved (to others) so much in rap that we now play by a different set of rules - the rules of the global pop icon.

And I think we got here from years of neglect, copycats, etc, and ushered in on the wave of Kanye (not saying its his fault but thats how life works) which birthed Drake, the multitalented singing/rapper that was better at both than Ye, and made many people millions by being able to have a million flows, cadences, accents, cities, crews - basically being everything for everybody, an unprecedented force that really no other rapper, not even our goats, could hope to be - and all so subtly, because at the beginning of it all - hes a trained actor.

And Im saying this as a fan of Drakes music (surface level) because its fukking sounds incredible. It's perfect sonics.

But its not "real".

But what is "real"? If you have ever seen Black Mirror, you know peoples view on real changes and perceptions and things we never thought could happen happen, because newer generations only know what they know.

With the powerful rise of AI images and motions and audio and training on music and beats and rhymes and the talent of every artist that ever existed ever, why wouldn't the next big hip hop artist of the 2020s/2030s be completely AI, from look to sound to status to everything. As in, the most untouchable artist of all time - and the people that will support "it" are kids now, they will never live in a world where it matters how someone produces the sounds they like, as long as those sounds exists.

And if not completely AI, at worst a classically trained artist and the music is completely AI based on algorithms of the best sounds of the current second, doing things even ghostwriters could never accomplished and breaking every record that ever existed because the world loves the music.

Is this far fetched?

There was an AI rapper a while back. It was a bad idea then, and it's a bad idea now.

I can't speak for everyone else, but I'm not looking forward to being called the n-word by a computer program.

On the other hand, Beanie Sigel & the D.O.C. said they were open to using AI to recreate their voices so they could drop new music. I'm fine with that.

Even Drake's ghostwriters were humans. And why do we want another rapper spittin artificial lyrics? I think we need to go back to lyricists and MCs. Literally for the culture.

This happened when lames picked Kanye over 50. People didn’t realize how big of a moment that was, it separated a rapper from their music, it didn’t matter if you were corny or fake. That moment gave birth to the fraud known as Drake
While I disagree in a sense because Kanye is a legit artist in many ways, I do agree that that moment was bigger than people think.

How old are you?

Are you old enough to comprehend and have developed reading skills?

TF does it seem like Im talking about US my G. I'm talking about society.

30 year old us in 2000 wouldve been on the message boards saying "I prefer when my rappers write they own shyt and no one will ever accept a ghostwriter or a gay rapper" lol

Asking you to critically think

Breh, 50 Cent was highly problematic with his hostility towards other NY rappers and his and Eminem's inclination towards blackballing others.

Fifty needed to go. Outside of his own crew he was holding rival NY rappers back and holding the east coast back. He didn't even do anything with Beanie Sigel after "signing" him, yet, he beefed with Jay-Z and exacerbated tensions between him and Beanie. After that, 50 Cent became a nobody until he eventually made a cultural comeback with the "TV executive producer" hustle.

Between 50 Cent and Jim Jones, New York rap was being killed from the inside. After Max B got taken out, French Montana had to move down South to get on. Him making it was a huge win for the DVD and mixtape eras, but then 50 Cent got on his back too because being signed to Diddy meant Fifty was going to take him down, but he couldn't since Fifty was too irrelevant by that point.
