OP, you're gonna keel over one day and if you're lucky, rot in a box, then eventually be forgotten like each and every person on earth

Worrying about some divine punishment isn't productive, do something worthwhile like planting trees or picking up trash every so often :manny:

I remember when I was a Christian… I was so deeeep into that shyt . Reading and studying every day. Texting people scriptures and shyt . Yes I was that annoying friend. Reading a proverb a day. Read the Bible numerous times. Literally would just run it back over and over from the beginning.

My little brother was in college at a Ivy League and had came over and I guess didn’t know I was Christian because even though we had the same mom, we had different fathers, so I went to church a lot more than him, so when we was kids we weren’t in church together like that.

So he was mocking it talking about how unrealistic and silly the stories are when we was talking about something. Convo got heated and he was caught off guard because he didn’t even know I was a Christian like that. Again, he moved with his dad to LA at 13 to we spent summers and holidays together.

Point is I remember that feeling of being so caught up in your religion to where there is no fact, no evidence, literally nothing anyone can say to you or do, to make you stray from your stance or change your mind. You say that is you thinking for yourself. The truth is that I was brainwashed and that’s what you are RIGHT NOW. The go to hell scare tactics only keep you in check just like massa whip. But It means nothing because it’s not real. Cognitive dissonance

it sounds more like you were brainwashed by your pastor, rather than being close to God.

Na, no one gets curved. At the end of the day we all make decisions that have consequences. If we hurt the next person for no reason but selfish gain, treat others like shyt, don't wanna better ourselves in every way, or any other thing that causes negativity, you deserve what you get. Adversity is what makes us (humans) better or worse. With that said, I don't think we get one chance to make things better. The soul can't learn in one lifetime.
