Even though I'm biased, give me Army all day...that West Point education is way more respected in the regular world than the USAF or Naval Academy

Thats not true bro. All 3 academies are highly respected. Annapolis is just as prestigious as West Point.

They are cadets.

They graduate high school and then attend the academies (Ivy League level schools), go there for 4 years graduate and become officers in their respective branches. Sports is just something they do. They are pretty much the future leaders of the military. These schools are where most of the Generals and Admirals come from.
OK that makes sense.

I imagine they have a hard time filling roster spots tho. Like it can't be easy to find a 6'2 270 pound 17 year old who wants play guard and also be an officer...or maybe its not as hard as it sounds :manny:

Well honestly none of they players are that big, because they would be out of military fitness standards. They still have to uphold the military standards. Most of the players are average sized, and for this reason thats why they cant compete with regular schools, and resort to gimmick offenses. Back in the day they used to be good because other schools had smaller players as well.

once they graduate they are LT (officer not enlisted), and are committed to serve like 5 years before they can get out

to is very hard to get accepted by one of the military academies you have to get a letter of reccomendation from a state senator, i tried getting into the AF academy

how did you go about it. i can't see it being hard to get that letter from a member of the house if youre an upstanding citizen.

yep, great post def. dap worthy. Thats why navy and army play scrubs for the most part in regards to their schedule, I mean imagine if army had to play LSU, Bama, Oregon, type teams 5-6 teams a year. shyt even with a weak schedule army can only muster like 3-4 wins as of lately

True but West Point is consistently in the Top 10 best colleges in the country. Something that the Naval or AF Academy can't boast about

you gotta have top grades, played a sport in high school and be an upstanding citizen just to be considered. You also have to be single with no children. Its the most rigorous universities in America because you also have to play a sport as well as focus on academics. But its free.
