Will someone please think of all the job losses in the prison industrial complex as a result of the resulting catastrophic drop in occupancy.

Those poor private prison shareholders too. Especially MJ.

We all about jobs in this here economy, right?

Bernie, Yang and Warren said they’ll legalize it.
Yeah just looked at Bernie Sanders site and he specifies doing it as a campaign goal on his site.
Transform the way we police communities by end the War on Drugs by legalizing marijuana and expunging past convictions, treating children who interact with the justice system as children, reversing the criminalization of addiction, and ending the reliance on police forces to handle mental health emergencies, homelessness, maintenance violations, and other low-level situations.
Given this, why the fukk would I vote Trump if I have options?

I have been saying that if he campaigns on legalizing weed and prostitution his chances of winning will go from very likely to guaranteed.

I wouldn't vote for him, but I bet that would push a LOT of people over the fence. Dems focusing on this impeachment bullshyt instead of how not to get their damn necks ripped out in 2020 :snoop:

I feel like it should help because the dems really ain’t got shyt going for them besides Yang. I really don’t care about weed but it seems a lot of people do.

Right about now he is shooting 100% with his core base, so I doubt he will try to alienate his self that much.

It doesn't matter if he does or not. Which he wont. He is winning the election

Who fault is that do you think?

I think you have to blame the progressive left pushing people the right. It’s not that trump is that good it is just the democrats have shyt candidates. I think Yang is the best one. Bernie to too socialist and his ideas would ruin the country.

This is why I don't get why Democrats don't stomp for this shyt federally heavy.
Bernie Sanders released a plan to legalize marijuana (at 4:20 pm)
Sen. Bernie Sanders on Thursday — at 4:20 pm Eastern Time — released a plan to legalize marijuana.

The proposal is among the most ambitious from one of the Democratic presidential candidates. It would move to legalize marijuana within 100 days through executive action. But it would also address the potential downsides and criticisms of how several states have legalized marijuana so far — by trying to limit the size and scope of the marijuana industry and taking several steps to ensure that communities of color benefit from legalization while potential bad actors, such as tobacco companies, do not.

Don't know if I'd vote for him based just on that, but I've always said whoever does it or talks about decriminalizing or legalizing is guaranteed to win.

This is why I don't get why Democrats don't stomp for this shyt federally heavy. I understand the corporatists who probably get paid by tobacco companies to be against any legalization but people like Bernie Sanders or Warren should be making an argument for legalization. It's time and trust it will get a ton of people to the booths. It's a no brainier.

Who ever is first in saying " my administration will work with a new Congress to legalize weed" will win.

Sanders Team Weighing Executive Orders to Legalize Marijuana, Stop Trump Border Wall, Declare Climate Emergency, and More

snippet from the article

The Washington Post's Jeff Stein, citing two anonymous people familiar with the campaign's plans and an internal document, reported Thursday that Sanders aides have presented the senator with a list of possible executive orders that would allow him to unilaterally:

  • Declare a national climate emergency;
  • Ban U.S. exports of crude oil;
  • Import prescription drugs from Canada;
  • Cancel federal contracts for companies that pay their workers less than $15 an hour;
  • Direct the Department of Justice to legalize marijuana at the federal level;
  • Reverse existing rules that bar the U.S. from funding organizations that provide abortion services;
  • Immediately halt the construction of President Donald Trump's U.S.-Mexico border wall;
  • Lift the cap on the number of refugees the U.S. accepts each year; and
  • Release billions in disaster aid to Puerto Rico that the Trump administration has withheld.
