250K is a piddling amount when considering all of the wealth reaped by this country from the uncompensated labor black Africans were forced to perform for centuries. That's wealth that was never created, money that would have gained interest while being handed down and invested by multiple generations, facilitating the growth of many black businesses that would be operating to this day, helping my ancestors to open schools that would see the present educational gap between blacks and white significantly narrower.
