How? The second law of thermodynamics more or less observes that, in a closed system, matter/energy moves from order to disorder. We see this concept when observing the development of Life on Earth. Even if you completely discredit science and place your faith in religious cosmology, this concept of simplicity to complexity is still present.

"In then the beginning, there was nothing..."
Stories of a formless cosmos, given form.
One creature begot all other creatures
Etc.
You are forgetting one thing, how did the system start from an ordered state in the first place?

There are different speculations on this, one being a cycle. Another theory is the m-branes that separate various universes collide and the explosion creates a big bang. There is also the one where space is full of energy, and over an uncountable amount of time those virtual particles will eventually create a singularity that explodes into a Big Bang.

Also, your religious example explains the question by using something far more complex to create out of simplicity something complex. Some even consider the idea of order coming out of chaos. Well what is the synonym of chaos, disorder. Which kind of goes back to one of the postulated scientific theories of the universe coming out of a state of full entropy (complete disorder) spontaneously.

We came to be somehow. Whose to say it can't happen again?

If there’s you’re saying that there’s no afterlife then I’m guessing that you’re also saying that there’s no “Beforelife”, so we’re just here. :stopitslime:

:yeshrug: i personally believe we'll ever have the ability determine the beginning of the universe. Or if there was ever a beginning to speak of.
And from our current understanding of the universe, our existence as living being, was inevitable. So is our destruction, because so far, we are still bound to the fundamental laws of the universe.

We are finite beings, with finite senses, living in a seeming infinite system. We can grasp the concept of infinity but can't measure it like we can everything else. Its expecting a pet fish to figure outthe difference between the hallway light and the light that comes out of the tv.

Whether the universe always existed, snapped itself into itself or some being(s) started "stuff" is irrelevant.... Its all the same to us.

I will just admit that I do not know. I have lucid dreams that hint at certain possibilities, but I am unable to separate those being wishful thinking or actual realities. The universe being a 4 dimensional object does seem to suggest that everything is happening at the sametime, and it is only our perception of growing entropy that gives us the arrow of time we experience.

I do hope mankind continues to seek more knowledge of our reality and perhaps some descendents of ours in the far future, if we survive our stupid self-destructive natures, learn enough about our reality to become masters of baryonic matter.

Various Critical masses of the smallest of the smallest of matter over time until we became flagrantly material. Depending on the religion or philosophy we come from an invisible essence we can’t quantify passed a certain point

Let me share a little something that may spook some of yall a little but i know im not alone.

I have memories from before i was born still in the womb. Both waking memories of being in there, and memories of dreams. Very vague flickers but i knew enough to dwell on them in my mind enough to keep them with me to this day.

Now if we have not all done this before at some point, let me just ask yall, how does one dream of something without having first witnessed it? How does one dream of a world that they have never even seen?

So... :ohhh: when I was growing up dreaming about smashing my mom's thick friend, you telling me... I really did smash her in a previous life? :ohhh:

There are levels of awareness. Imagine being a termite. Ant. Or any other tiny organism. Can you understand what an ocean is? Do you know there can be more than one race of people that don’t look like you? Can you grasp the concept of distances? Like Brazil to Puerto Rico?

These are realities an ant could never grasp while in its present form.

So likewise, as it is with the ant, so it is with humans. Just be glad to be among the living.
