If the Warriors had 2 of their best players injured, LeBron would have an asterisk, right?

The only real advantage GS has is in the backcourt, but since Lebron is able to play all 5 positions, GS only has the advantage at one guard position and that should be whatever guard position LeBron isn't playing.

Green is better than Thompson.

Curry is better than Dellavedova

Klay is better than J. R

I guess it's debatable whether Bogut is better than Mozgov or not, but I would take Bogut.

There's also the trivial little fact that the Warriors have at least one quality backup for all five positions and the Cavs don't.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
No great teams in the east or west. Warriors didn't have to go thru any great teams to get to the title. Those Nash led Suns and Webber led Kings teams for example would sweep this Warriors squad. And it's no disrespect but this team caught break after break with the teams they played. With that being said. I'll give them props for winning but I hope he media doesn't put them with all time great championship squads. Overall these playoffs have been lackluster. Teams with aging former superstars, hurt players and overachieving role players.

They played a young and inexperienced Pelicans team, a beat up grizz team, a beat up rockets team and a beat up cavs team all while avoiding the clippers and spurs

There is nothing memorable about this warriors run and everyone knows this.

The media isnt putting a team that lost to one single player, twice, as an all time great championship squad

If they are really an all time great team, after Kyrie went down, they wouldve swept or at least in 5

I can buy a healthy '02 & '03 Kings teams beating the Warriors, but those phoenix teams that didn't play defense...:camby:

I don't think the NBA is weak. The Warriors are just the beneficiaries of a lot of major injuries. OKC and Cleveland would beat them if they were at full strength. Memphis also would have had a good shot if all of their guys were 100%.

That offense was nasty tho. That team was stacked with a prime STAT, Nash, Joe Johnnson coming off the bench. The Warriors depend too much on Currys shooting. They should've swept the Cavs. Amare would've feasted inside.

if the warriors win, it would go against everything regarding traditional basketball. a 6-7 center? I like small ball in spurts. I mean when the suns did it, at least amare was 6-10

OP might have a point.

Could this Warriors team beat any of the NBA champs from the last 20 years?

Could they beat any of the Spurs teams?
Could they beat any Lakers teams?
Could they beat the 08 Celtics?
Could they beat the Miami teams?

Maybe they'd beat the '11 Mavericks.

anyone claiming asterisk or other bullshyt to try and discredit the Warriors possible NBA title is not a fan of sports.

They been the best team all year. Put up historic numbers and have beaten who was put in front of them. Is the 1991 Bulls NBA title diminished because the Pistons and Lakers were injured?

Are we hating on the 2004 Pistons because Karl Malone got injured?

What about the 2013 Heat after Tony Parker got injured? (he was injured the last 4 games of that series)

Stop being stupid.

yes, this year's Warriors team could beat any of those teams because this Warriors team has the best offense and defense of this season. This Warriors team shoots better than those teams too, and hit a ton of 3s.

You dudes love hating with no actual thought and love reminiscing about a past that did not exist.

THat doesn't mean the Warriors are better than those teams, but they could beat them.

Thing is, when you have the best matchup (SA-Clippers) in the first round you already know the deal. As much as I'm a CP3 hater and that they totally chocked against the Rockets, Warriors-Clippers would've been a great series imo.

Only series that were nice was SA-Clips, both Chicago series (Bron making big plays, and the young Bucks battling for their lives), Memphis-Warriors was ok, too bad Conley (and Tony Allen) got hurt. That's about it tbh. Finals have had games that went to the wire, but it's a lot of sloppy plays. Maybe we were spoiled by the Spurs and, dare I say, the cHeat in these past years.

It's maybe a changing of the guards thing. Old vets can't get through, and the younger teams don't have the "it" factor yet. Not a great playoffs indeed.
