No one will top Jim Carrey but with the success of Dead Pool, I could see The Mask being way more edgy and violent than the 1994 version get real dark with it...but who could do the lead part justice?
I was thinking The Rockthey'd definitely do it with kevin hart
We don't need another goofy Mask movie. And Jim can't top his 1994 performance. The Son Of The Mask doesn't exist in my mind so let's just reboot it completely with a R-Rated version.fukk that we need a sequel...jim can still pull it off
Ironically enough I was going to say Ryan Reynolds I don't know if he has the range to put on a performance like Jim but he definitely has the comedy part down.No one will top Jim Carrey but with the success of Dead Pool, I could see The Mask being way more edgy and violent than the 1994 version get real dark with it...but who could do the lead part justice?
No, he doesn't have the comedy down at all.Ironically enough I was going to say Ryan Reynolds I don't know if he has the range to put on a performance like Jim but he definitely has the comedy part down.
That might actually work. Problem would be that he probably would have to do a rebrand. DC is too explicit and doesnt have a filter. He has the work ethic though; if they put him in some classes for a couple of months he'd nail the role imo.
I'm speaking more for the scenario in the OP--dark and edgy. No, he doesn't have the comedy down at all.
LOL he is nowhere on the level of prime Jim Carrey
