He was dope, original and very skilled...

He is nowhere near my top 10 list, but to each their own.. I always felt like he was a little overrated...But the problem with some of these golden era emcees, they get a "spot" and people refuse to allow them to be moved, regardless of the progression going on around them...

I find myself guilty of doing the same thing with sports.. I had to eventually admit that Kobe had passed up Larry Bird...

Snoop first album is basically a gangsta slick rick over dre production.

Slick Rick is one of the only old schoolers who flow is still on point and doesnt sound dated.

Influence wise yes. But he only had one classic album and one solid one. That's not enough for top 10 IMO. However I wouldn't be mad at someone if they had him in their top 10.
