Is there a limit of how many times someone can run? Obviously it gets embarrassing after a couple elections. But if there's no limit, what's the record of losing?

Actually only twice for some reason I was under the impression he ran and lost multiple times

And nah I doubt mitt would run again if he lost...losing destroys the brand and electability unless they run after the 4 years like nixon and things change

Mitt wasn't that popular with the base either so it's not like people would be clamoring for another run like when Reagan lost the primary in 76

Now what about Obama? Admittedly I'm new to the politics game, but 08 was his first time running right? I'm guessing he woulda ran again this election if he lost

I believe if Obama lost in 08 and depending on how close it was and how the economy would be under McCain if the environment was right Obama would definitely had run in 12 again if he wanted too

I remember so many people wante Gore to run in 04 and 08

Romney has no shot.

Santorum would have won this. He is too Charismatic.

Romney is a robot with no personality

Republicans have too many young, up and comers for Romney to run again. Scott Walker, Marco Rubio, Chris Christie, Bobby Jindal, Paul Ryan, etc are the future of Republican party.

No way an elderly Hilary Clinton or buffoon like Joe Biden gets elected over one of those guys.

Clinton would crush anyone in the republican party, no doubt about it.

Folks need to realize that in 2008 it was basically the democratic primary that decided the next president. The republican party is in really bad shape, its basically been 20+ years washed away. That's why they had to highlight to republicans why they are republicans in the first place at the convention :heh:
