If OKC doesn’t make the finals, do you think they will get a pass from the media/fans?

Will the “they are a bunch of kids” standard still apply even though they(and their best player)are playing historically great basketball right now and were the one seed last year already?

They’re on pace for 68 wins, have the current MVP favorite, an all-star 2nd option, when Chet & I-Hart are both healthy will have one of the best C rotations in the league, a collection of great role players, and have the reigning COY

Youth should not be an excuse. SGA is 4 months younger than Tatum and 7 months older than Luka and neither of those guys would be given a pass for not getting it done with that supporting cast.

Hell when OKC made their Finals run in 2012, KD & Russ were 23 and Harden was 22.

Barring significant injury, anything less than a Finals appearance should be viewed as a major failure

I don't agree with this at all.

I think they will based on the strength of them having so many damn picks. If they fail this year they can maneuver something next year. They’re still not really “all in”. They’ll just blame the loss on the front office not doing anything. If they then lose after that then it’s a wrap for them.

Why not?

Tatum alone caught plenty of shyt for the Celtics not getting it done and prior to last season he was never on a 1 seed, a 60 win team or won MVP and SGA is about to do all that shyt

Y’all can’t have it both ways. You don’t get to be dominant and treated like an underdog. The Thunder’s house money playoff run was last season. They’re in the show now

Not this year, but definitely next season. Everyone should be at full strength.

San Antonio, Memphis should be in that boat as well (just the playoffs in San Antonio's case)

If this about his first Finals, Tatum caught shìt for not performing at his level and I've gone to bat for him on here trying to get people to acknowledge that he was playing with 1 shoulder.

I'm not looking for anything both ways. You're taking to the extreme of "title or underdog", not me. There's a world in between that, especially when we haven't seen a team this young be this dominant.

You also said "Chet and I-Hart" both healthy meaning that's not given, there's already a caveat.
