Rush said not the end of conservatism but the end of the republican party...more than likely it will move towards a libertarian streak where nationally economic issues will take more importance than social issues...southern represantives and senators will still have social issue platforms because they are important to that region

If Obama wins its likely that the economy still continues to lag maybe a double dip so chances are after Obama a republican wins just because its tough to win 3 straight presidential terms for one president and the record won't be exactly stellar

the media will overrate Obama as someone who kept us from seeing disaster but in reality he most likely will have prevented prosperity and increased debt so much that it affects us for decades the line...

Obama will be a post president celebrity and african american icon and will continue to have his poster sold along side tupac, malcolm x, Martin Luther King, Bob marley in urban streets...

People will argue the effectiveness of Obamas policies for decades with no real consensus on whether he was a good or bad president...

the end

If the Republicans move to the left after this election, then we would have 2 moderate Republican parties.

Then it will be how it was in the 70's and 80's and 90's, which while sucks is an improvement over the recent setup of a moderate conservative party and a batshyt crazy party.

I agree to extent but more so because the more socially liberal side of the republican party will eventually break off from the rest of the party which has been hijacked by christian nut cases. I think you will eventually see a party born of traditional conservative economic values while being socially liberal.

:what: isn't dat basically da.....libertarian party

well everyone complains that they have moved politics overall to the right. the problem with that is, as they try to be the opposite of a right-leaning democratic party, they've only left themselves room to move into the further "fringe" right

You can't be a social liberal and have your champion's name in highlights on racist news letters.

Otherwise sorta...

When was Gary Johnson on the news? :comeon:
