i been thinking about this i'm not a huge boxing fan but if he was American he would be worshiped here in the states if that were true.

(55-3, 49 KOs) is an amazing record no matter how you put it and he has no challenger in sight

How does Klitschko rate against the all time greats?

thats not to say he isn't a great boxer but, as a boxing fan i have no knowledge of any of his opponents. the heavyweight division has been a waste land since the 90's. most people watch middle and welterweights now. and to be honest he has power and size but nothing else is really extraordinary about him. i have trouble believing he could beat the caliber of boxers that ali beat

Of course he would be huge. bytch ass Michael Phelps was called the greatest olympian ever just because he is American. Duke is basically illiterate and no one gives a fukk about swimming but he was made out to be American hero. Swimming is unbelievably boring, takes about four laps just to figure out who's in what lane and then you have no idea who won. You're basically staring at a pool full of water for 4 minutes.

Klitschko would be king right now, they would dig up Bert Sugar so he could put him up as #1 on his all time list. He would probably be all up in those shytty action flicks swinging a sword and running around with AKs.

the thing with wlad is he is dominating a weak heavyweight division and the fact that 2 of the 3 losses he suffered (against sanders and brewster) where in his prime..wlad is a great fighter but his opponents have done nothing to enhance his legacy in the past decade because other than maybe sam peter in the first fight and david haye everyone expected him to win...they were more shocked when he didn't (again against sanders and brewster)

something is wrong when things like being illiterate or having no personality are brought into discussion about sports performance...just sayin :manny:

you can't deny that these things have an effect on perception. See Barry Bonds.

true, perception is a lot....but I think now that the witch hunt is over a lot more people are saying bonds is the goat (or at least are comfortable with their inner morals to say)

No we wouldnt. He's a boring fighter and he came along during a time when they heavyweight division was freaking terrible. S**t was awful. Maybe he would be more appreciated if he came out in the 90's

thats cuz he's not american did hollyfield have some great personality
:stopitslime:

Holyfield beat Riddikk Bowe twice, Tyson twice, George Foreman, Ray Mercer, Michael Moorer, Michael Dokes, Dwight Muhammad Qawi twice.

Undisputed at heavyweight and cruiserweight. Klitschko doesnt have near the resume Evander does
