When I'm wrong I always man up and say I was wrong.

My apologies to Eli Manning, his family, his fans and all Coli members for my insolence last year. YES I'm the one who said Kevin Kolb was/would be better than Eli :guilty:

Ya'll must understand I was such a Peyton stan I couldnt help it. I still think Eli is overrated but thats a different topic

Now let's see about these Eagles QB

  • Feely - Sucked ass as a Dolphin and everywhere else he went
  • McNabb - I was a McNabb fan so when they traded him i wanted him to make him regret it. Little did I know that fat fukka Reid knew what he was doing.
  • Kevin Kolb - When I saw that trade go down i thought to myself: Kolb + FitzGerald = Young + Rice all over again. WRONG AGAIN :noah:

The Eagles are the typical shark ass used car salesmen. They'll embellish a QB and set it at a high price and you see that and you think you got a gem and give up tons of picks when in reality they just sold you a lemon.

I'm a Cowboys fan, but :pacspit:

How am I wrong? Favre was a back up in ATL, got traded was a back up in GB and then took over the starting job. Similar story for Brady

I know Young and Rogers were under different circumstances but my point is at some point they were NOT ready for the starter role. Same thing with those Eagles QB's.

If he said "some people are career backups for a reason" then he would be right

The Problem with Kevin Kolb, was even when he played he never showed that he was going to be great. He never had a "Matt Flynn" type game where he threw for 6 TD's...he had a couple decent games...but he only played a handful

I never felt like there was strong indication he was going to go out and be a star. Certainly didnt think he was going to flop the way he did either tho

Andy Reid is part of the Bill Walsh/Mike Holmgren coaching tree, dude knows how to work with trash QB's. Dude is an elite Offensive Coach. Also I gotta give props to the front office for turning Corn on the Kolb into a really good draft pick and an upper-level CB. :laff:

Now he's the highest paid backup in Arizona, well next to Matt Flynn in Seattle.

Bama ass DC

  • Steve Young
  • Tom Brady
  • Brett Favre
  • Aaron Rogers

All started out as backups.

Your argument doesnt hold water.

you gonna compose a list of 4 QBs to try to debunk that?
were they better than the QBs ahead of them? of course they werent gonna start
don't tell me Brady was better at the time than Bledsoe. He was game managing for the longest until he went into another stratosphere years after starting. Favre may be your only case.
my argument holds water like a baby bottle :smugfavre:
