Nah it would include a couple of lions and the odd joint show and some wrestler trading. Personally im as intrigued as i am afraid for a Darby Allin/Hiromu Takahashi "who will try the nastiest bump possible" match
Somebody will be carried out in Darby’s body bag as a shoot :mjcry:

On AEWs part this honestly sounds like a plea for help. I think these guys are realizing how hard this is coming into the business this fast. No business thrives off great ideas alone.

All the talk of working with NJPW is coming from Jericho.

Fans may want it. AEW World champ Chris Jericho may hope for it. But All Elite Executive Vice-Presidents Matt & Nick Jackson have some bad news.

Reports indicating that the stipulation for Jericho’s match with Hiroshi Tanahashi at Wrestle Kingdom 14, Le Champeon wearing his belt to the ring, and the mentions of AEW on the English & Japanese broadcast were nothing more than promotion for the Sun., Jan. 5 event? Those all appear to be true.

The Young Bucks, who in the past have gone on record about their issues with how they were booked by New Japan, removed any doubt in an interview with ESPN West Palm yesterday (Jan. 6):

“That was just a rumor. Nothing is happening. I think [Chris] did that to get the internet to talk a bit more about the situation. The door has not opened up at all. We wish them luck in what they’re doing. A lot of our friends work in NJPW and if something came along, we’d be open, but nothing is happening right now.”

Jericho said he had AEW President Tony Khan’s blessing for the angle, and this makes it sound like maybe The Bucks weren’t in the loop on that decision?

That’s just speculation, though. The takeaway is clear. The “Forbidden Door” remains sealed tight.

The way they were booked

:mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:

Yeah and roh/NJ booked them as champs for how many fukkn years???

No shyt, the way they talked in that video like NJ/ROH did them wrong when they were given EVERYTHING by both companies and upped and bailed to do their own thing and compete against them, especially ROH. Like...no shyt NJ doesn't want to fukk with Kenny after finally having him end Okada's reign and push him as the top guy just for him to immediately let them know he's leaving right before their biggest show of the year that he'll be headlining. And ROH entirely built themselves around The Elite, who were ALL leaving all at once, to directly compete against them, so of course they weren't happy with the Bucks.
