With how much DC leans on these characters/properties for fukks sake they need some fresher takes than recasts and darker aesthetics. Batman is my favorite superhero but I haven't looked forward to the Batfleck movie at all. For what?

The only thing that can put DC in Marvel's cinematic spotlight is if they make a Static Shock trilogy, but they don't own all of the rights to use him though

he'd be the Spiderman of DC and would kickstart a new era of dominance for DC movies like blade did for marvel.

Static Shock 1 - takes a lot of the cartoons story, teenager, gets his power, in the hood, bang babies, Ebon reveal at the end

Static Shock 2 - still in school, defeats Ebon, etc cetera typical sequel

Static Shock 3 - the final part, at the end he's invited to join the justice league

batman is the weak link because he doesn’t have super powers. They need to reinvent his skill set. And the costume....


it’s hard. There’s only but so much you can do with the character. but you can only reboot so much before it gets played out.

Arrow was easily the best of the non-DCEU franchises. They need a character like that and start over .... again.

I always catch flack on here because some people LOVE batman, but I think batman has just been done to death.

I thought the Shazam movie was DC's best effort. Wonder Woman was solid. I'd like to see a Green Lantern buddy-cop type of movie. Basically I'd like to see them stop screwing around with these street level no-powers ass characters. Bring in Booster Gold too. Let Constantine be your magic/mysticism guy. Bring in Superboy Prime as one of your big bad's that leads up to your "endgame" type of last battle for a phase. DC could do a lot. I don't think anybody would fault them for straight following MCU's blueprint. fukk it.

They've already moved the DCEU into New Genesis/Apokokips territory. There's no changing that now.


In "my universe", it wouldn't be the Justice League. It would be some other group with the occasional cameo by a Justice League member. The Justice League would be introduced much later.

The best example I got are the The Outsiders or Justice League Dark.
