Batman oversaturation is getting out of hand. Nolan grounded the IP in realism after those movies from the 90s, if the studios let Burton to a third one I think we could have let Batman breathe until Nolan touched it and this is coming from someone who liked the movies after Burton left the series.
Arguably, Nolan's trilogy was the spiritual successor to what Burton was doing with the character. We didn't need a string of one-off Batman flicks after the trilogy nor do we need excessive Batman v. Joker plots. The run time, grounding Batman in an overt noir aesthetic and good handling of the Riddler was cool this time around but I don't think we'll see that again. I'd like to see other villains get some shine. I'd like to see Manbat take the IP into a horror lane one time.
