Don't wanna be that guy but I live Los Angeles and I see AT LEAST a couple Bullet Club shirts a day..

and it's shocking to me because LA isn't really a wrestling city like that.. I haven't seen a fukkin wrestling tee with that kinda wave since the nwo days.. I'm slowly realizing that I've been greatly underestimating New Japan's popularity. That shyt clearly has an audience out here..

Granted I don't think they're a threat to WWE's success at all, but I kinda feel like Vince should probably do everything in his fukkin power to prevent the said scenario in the thread title..

Punk going would lead to a new potential boom for wrestling outside of the Wwe

Bryan will lead to some attention but his body clearly can’t handle that workload like aj styles did. It’d be an exciting 3-6 month run at most but then his body will tell the truth about his condition that he lied about.

Bryan and Punk are both the type you could build with, similar to how Lesnar is used in WWE now..

with each probably only actually stepping into the ring maybe 4-5 times a year at BIG events, and using other shows as build up towards those big matches.

that man does not seem interested in the slightest

neither he or the young bucks

:jbhmm:

But money talks at the end of the day

Which is why I'd be shocked if they ever return to the WWE or if they did, nothing more than short-term thing. They're probably making bank with all their merch sales, especially with the Hot Topic distribution. Hell, Cody probably eating well too, especially with his wife going to be on the WAGS Atlanta show on E.

Going back to the topic, if both went over to Japan, I'd hope they be foils for Bullet Club and not join them.

IF they ever return it'll be like a legacy/nostalgia act...

Whether DB gets cleared or not, he knows he probably can't do a full schedule anymore, and his "wrestling story arch" is kinda over unfortunately.

Punk should come back for one more story against Triple H and get the W...there's no story for Punk in Japan...the days of him saying "I want to wrestle because of the love of it" aren't believable anymore either.

I'd love to see either of them in WWE and/or other places...but if we are all honest, we are mostly upset because of the way that things "went" for them in WWE years ago more than it is "we want to see DB and CM Punk wrestling every week". They are too "over" to be weekly characters (if that even makes sense...)

Nothing. No one compares to WWE's global reach. NJPW could take Roman, Finn, KO, Bryan, Lesnar, CM and they still wouldn't crack WWE's viewership in any meaningful way.

Sad but this is the way it is.
