Yes, to most whites I've known mixed is the same as black to them so I don't think ppl would have viewed him much differently because hes very educated and his public speaking skills are up in the top tier of presidents. Also his demeanor isn't threatening. He's a likeable guy and I don't think being three shades darker would make people not see that. Maybe I have too much faith in my fellow white Americans though tbf.
