As for male nudity, Eastern Promises has a very good scene where Viggo Mortensen is completely naked and if you've ever seen the movie, you know that it actually works in the context and the scene would be very different without it. Stands in contrast to what Judd Apatow had been doing where he wouldn't hold back on showing dikks on screen but for purely comedic reasons.

It may give them a short burst in popularity online and get some press, but that buzz will wear off. I've fallen guilty myself of once I see a celebrity naked I've wanted to see for years, the bloom is off the rose and my interest shifts elsewhere to some other chick who hasn't shown her titties yet.

Getting naked is good if you want young boys and men jerking off to your screen caps online, but in reality, you still need to pick the right roles and have some talent for longevity.
