wwI agree...I like taking pics of my food, or my dog
I don't think I'm photogenic to be honest...maybe I should just get a bunch of professional pictures done and call it a day

Whaaat. I don't believe that one bit. One can then argue that hiding yourself or not sharing screams insecurity because of fear of acceptance. It depends on the individual.when anyone does that male or female it screams signs of insecurity. "Please like me!"

My parents had us take a couple of "professional", aka, J.C. Penney studio, pictures when my siblings and I were in junior high through high school.... the struggle in those pics still haunt my dreams to this dayI agree...I like taking pics of my food, or my dog

Cause you like the pic you took? Why would people take a pic of anything in that case. Their car, their dog, their sneakers...isn't that showing off? Whether you're showing pics of yourself or things you own or random pics you took "Look at my photography skills" it's all the same. Don't put everyone in the same pot. Then why else do people have to take a pic of themselves and post it every day? There isn't one single reason you would do it accept to want assurance from others.
