Kansas v Upenn would be the most likely if it'd happen this year

penn is the second best 16 seed ive seen behind that oral roberts team 10 or so years ago. that oral roberts team was only like a 7 point underdog vs memphis

...if the #16 seed beat the #1 seed, they'd be a box lunch in the next round.

U Albany almost pulled it off last year, but none of these games will be within 20. :manny: I believe eventually if they keep having the tourney it'll happen just because of the law of averages.

I was AT the game where this almost happened:

2006 - #1 UCONN vs. #16 Albany, Wachovia Center, Philadelphia, PA

This was the UCONN team that was LOADED....Marcus Williams, Rudy Gay, Josh Boone....they had been #1 all year, only lost two games during the regular season, lost to Syracuse in overtime in the Big East Tourney and STILL got the #1 seed....

Albany led THE ENTIRE DAMN GAME, then folded in the final 2-3 minutes and lost by 13. :snoop:

At one point, they had a 12-point lead over UCONN....the whole place was going CRAZY, cause we thought we was about to witness history.

off the top i thought penn was 2nd strongest 16 ive seen since i started booking games, but looking back over my ratings over the years i forgot how strong 2012 unc asheville and 2009 east tennessee st were. 2006 oral roberts also was rated better. id place penn 4th or 5th but they are clearly still very underseeded for a 16 seed
