I'm a big Bond fan, but with all the bullshyt surrounding a black Bond, why not just make a black super-spy movie?

I can't understand why though. A big budget action flick with a rising or major black actor doesn't have to be a risk if the story and marketing is right.

Who lost money breh? Did Barbara Broccoli or her brother come out and say this? This cat has nothing nothing nothing to do with who plays Bond in a movie in way shape or form which is what @obarth and myself pointed out. And on top of that, even if they don't go with Idris, even though Barbara has said she'd be all for it and Idris has already said he doesn't want to do it, they just produced a billion dollar flick 3 years ago and they got another hit coming down the pike in 2 months.

Tried to tell them breh..there's always something with Bond. Someone always has a beef with it. Whether it's casting an Irishman, or a Scotsman, or an Australian. Ian Fleming didn't want Connery anywhere near Bond because he said he was too much of a brute, and, funny enough, too street. He didn't like the fact that he came from a low class background but the ended up loving him in the role
